Royal Seaforth Collections Across the North

Most boxes at the Port of Liverpool pass through Royal Seaforth. The deep‑water Liverpool2 berth sits next to it for the biggest ships.

Both gates are familiar ground for our drivers, as are the M57 and M58 links that take boxes east and north.

What Liverpool importers ask

Container Haulage Liverpool: FAQs

Which Liverpool Terminal Do You Collect Containers From?

Mostly Royal Seaforth, the main container terminal at the Port of Liverpool, run by Peel Ports. Liverpool2, the deep‑water berth for the biggest ships, sits alongside it.

Gate details matter at Seaforth, so send the container number and shipping line when you enquire. We confirm the release and which gate the box is due at. Peel Ports publishes gate and vessel updates online, and we watch them for you.

Some boxes are due at a nearby depot or devanning warehouse instead. We confirm the right location before the driver sets off, so there is no confusion on the day. Collection times are confirmed with you before the day.

Where Do You Deliver Liverpool Containers?

Anywhere in the UK, with most deliveries going to the North West, Yorkshire, the Midlands and North Wales. A box for Manchester can usually be delivered the same day it is collected.

Helpful details include the delivery postcode, site hours and whether there is a forklift or loading bay. Timed delivery slots can be booked too, and booking‑in references for distribution centres are fine: just send them over.

Flexible drops are possible as well: a side‑loader can set the container on the ground, ready for your team to unload later. Vetted partner hauliers in the North West add capacity for regular flows.

Can You Move Containers Between Liverpool and the East Coast?

Yes. Coast‑to‑coast moves help when a box lands at one port but needs to sail from, or be delivered near, another. They are also useful when a container is rerouted after a vessel change.

Joined‑up planning is possible because we work at Liverpool, Felixstowe, London Gateway, Tilbury and Southampton. Our own trucks and vetted partners share the longer runs.

Send us where the box is, where it needs to go and any deadline, such as a vessel cut‑off. We confirm the plan, then update you at collection, on the road and at delivery. Vessel cut‑offs are built into the plan from the start.

Can You Collect Refrigerated Containers from Liverpool?

Yes, with a gen‑set on the trailer when the box needs power for the journey. Not every reefer needs one, so we check before quoting. Both 20ft and 40ft reefers can be moved.

Specialist set‑up happens before the box leaves the terminal: the reefer engineer who attaches the gen‑set sets the temperature, not the haulier.

Tell us the delivery window and whether your site can plug the box in when it arrives. We confirm gen‑set availability with the slot, then keep you updated until the reefer is delivered and the empty is on its way back. Timed delivery slots are available for chilled loads.

What If My Liverpool Container Is Delayed?

You hear from us straight away, with the options to fix it. Delays usually come from a late vessel, a customs or line hold, or a busy terminal.

Practical alternatives are ready, because the traffic desk watches the release and the slot: an earlier or later collection, or a weekend slot. Each option comes with its likely timing, so you can choose.

Round‑the‑clock support means someone is always there to call. Above all, you find out early enough to warn your own customer, and we suggest the most economical fix, not just the fastest. Customers mention this kind of help in their Google reviews.
